The Atlanta Cow Parade in the summer of 2003 was awesome!! It immediately caught my attention. I was determined to photograph all 150+ cows within the city limits. It became an obsession... As my friends can vouch for I drug just about everyone I knew on a cow hunt. Sadly i only photographed around 80 of them before the end of the event, but it was definately fun. I saw parts of Atlanta I had never seen before and even have 3 little figurines I got for Christmas. There was a sign from God... the Cow Parade will be in Barcalona May-July of 2005 so! I'm going! Lalalalala!
In June 1999 the Cow Parade made its US debut in Chicago's downtown. Nearly 320 Cows were displayed in the exibition. This bronze cow was left to memorialize the event and being the cow parade queen, and this being a metal one I could actually sit on... How could i resist?
Even Georgia Tech made made its way on to a cow with Georgia on Moo Mind.
"High Five is symbolic of life's small hands growing to bigger hands. It is the energy of the children that nourishes our lives." This was one of my favorites :) The handprints are of Kindergarden-5th Graders. Behind me you can see where the Atlanta Symphony Orchastra preforms.
